About this role
The Slide Attendant is responsible for overseeing the assigned aquatics area to ensure participants are abiding by pool rules promoting safety and satisfaction in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Provides a sense of control over slide usage by members. The Slide Attendant is stationed at the top of the slide, ensuring participants go down when the lifeguard gives the OK and that they go down safely. This will increase the safety of the slide for all patrons. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prevention of accidents both in the water and on the slide. Provide emergency assistance in the event of an accident. Maintain a sense of control over the slide usage. Enforce pool rules and justly establish disciplinary actions. Attend all staff meetings and in-service training, as required. Maintain a neat and well groomed personal appearance Wear staff uniform and when on duty and appropriate. Customer service. Be friendly and able to answer general facility questions. Work your scheduled times or find your own qualified substitute. Fill out accident reports for any accident no matter how minor. Other duties and/or responsibilities, as directed by management
