Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including transportation, civil engineering, planning, surveying, geotechnical, landscape architecture, and environmental professionals—to review site plans, assess projects, and develop solutions that minimize environmental impacts. Conduct site visits, collect field data, and perform biological and aquatic surveys to support environmental analysis and reporting. Lead and prepare environmental documentation and technical reports in compliance with NEPA, CEQA, and TRPA requirements. Navigate environmental planning and permitting processes by coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies and securing necessary regulatory approvals. Prepare permit applications, monitor construction activities, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and design specifications throughout project lifecycles. Provide environmental guidance to internal teams, stay current on regulatory changes, and support informed project decision-making. Support project delivery through research, scoping, and development of proposals and budgets. Build and maintain client relationships, contribute to business development efforts, and help secure new work by assembling teams, preparing proposals, and pursuing project opportunities.
