Reporting to the Chief Engineer and Chief Officer for cargo system maintenance and operations, this role focuses on the operation and upkeep of conveyor systems, gates, belts, fluid drives, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, rollers, bearings, and related equipment. The Head Tunnelman is expected to coordinate tunnel preparation before loading and discharge, ensure safe working practices, support environmental procedures, and carry out all assigned maintenance and cargo-related duties in accordance with company standards.
