This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level engineer to work on a diverse range of roadway and aviation projects while learning from experienced professionals and building a rewarding career in transportation engineering. Over six months, you'll take part in a hands-on curriculum covering professional development, business acumen, and project delivery — including case studies, simulations, and role-play exercises — covering topics like project economics, communication, and leadership fundamentals. It all wraps up with an in-person capstone event where you'll present your work and map out your goals for the year ahead. Your Future Starts With A Plan. What You’ll Do As a Transportation Engineer , you’ll play a key role in designing, analyzing, and developing transportation infrastructure projects that improve how communities move and connect. You will: Support senior engineers and project managers in preparing transportation design plans for state, municipal, commercial, industrial, and residential projects — all within a 3D digital environment. Perform and review design calculations , ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. Contribute to the development of design packages , including roadway geometry, drainage, grading, and plan preparation. Assist with early project phases , including feasibility studies, permitting, and cost estimating. Support aviation projects , contributing to runway and airfield design and analysis.
