The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supporting and leading projects from inception to completion. designing mechanical and plumbing systems and mentoring junior staff. This role includes maintaining project schedules, interfacing with clients, and delivering high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Design and develop mechanical and plumbing systems independently. Prepare and revise documentation across various project phases. Manage and execute mechanical engineering deliverables across multiple projects in a dynamic work environment. Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches for projects of varying complexity. Review equipment data sheets for compliance with project requirements, evaluate contractor submittals, and advise on potential impacts to scope, schedule, and budget. Conduct quality assurance and control on personal and peer projects. Assist in creating new standards and specifications for the mechanical engineering group. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and recommend changes to approaches and client services as needed. Participate in client/vendor/contractor project requirement meetings, value analysis sessions, and cost estimating activities. Lead the preparation and coordination of project specifications and related documents. Perform other duties as assigned.
