Build the Roads That Keep Communities Moving Rinker Design Associates (RDA) is seeking a motivated Traffic/Roadway Engineer to join our growing Transportation team. In this role, you'll contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and traffic engineering projects that improve safety, mobility, and connectivity throughout Virginia and beyond. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers and project managers while taking increasing ownership of design tasks and client interactions. Develop traffic signal, signing, pavement marking and traffic control plans. Prepare traffic engineering and roadway designs for transportation projects. Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Utilize MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and other engineering software to produce roadway design documents. Coordinate with project managers, clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies. Ensure designs comply with VDOT, AASHTO, MUTCD, and local agency standards. Participate in field reviews, site visits, and construction support activities as needed. Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
