Rinker Design Associates (RDA) is seeking a talented Drainage Engineer with 7–12 years of experience to join our Transportation team. In this role, you'll contribute to the analysis and design of drainage and stormwater systems for a variety of roadway and infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance safety, mobility, and environmental stewardship. Prepare drainage reports, stormwater management calculations, and supporting technical documentation. Design storm sewer systems, culverts, channels, and erosion and sediment control measures. Develop plans and models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, MicroStation, and OpenRoads Designer. Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to support project delivery. Ensure designs comply with VDOT, DEQ, FEMA, and applicable local and federal regulations. Participate in field investigations and provide construction support as needed. Collaborate with roadway, traffic, and environmental teams to deliver integrated project solutions. Assist with proposal preparation and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff.
