Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager - Transportation to join our team in either Huntsville or Birmingham, AL . Support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects, with a primary focus on roadway design, while assisting with projects involving traffic engineering, multimodal planning, and related services. Assist with project management activities, including scope, schedule, and budget tracking, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposal preparation, identifying potential opportunities, and assisting in maintaining client relationships with municipalities, counties, and state agencies. Apply engineering principles to develop technical designs and analyses, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Participate in QA/QC processes to help ensure the delivery of high-quality, accurate, and technically sound work products. Coordinate with internal teams—including Planning, Survey, Environmental, H&H, Structural, and Construction—to support integrated project delivery. Provide technical support during project development and, as needed, assist with construction-phase services and field coordination. Collaborate with senior staff and leadership to implement project strategies and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and deliverables. Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, designers, and technicians, supporting team development and knowledge sharing.
