Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Watershed Engineer to join our team. This role will support a variety of watershed planning, stormwater, drainage, and water resources projects for municipal, state, federal, and private clients across the region. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation in hydrology and hydraulics while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, sustainable solutions that improve infrastructure resiliency and support long-term community growth. Support watershed planning, stormwater, drainage, and water resources engineering projects from concept through construction Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for watershed studies, drainage systems, stormwater infrastructure, floodplain analysis, and resiliency projects Prepare technical reports, drainage studies, calculations, exhibits, and construction documents for municipal, transportation, and land development projects Assist with watershed master planning efforts, flood mitigation studies, erosion and sediment control design, and stormwater management planning Coordinate with project managers, engineers, planners, and clients to develop practical and technically sound solutions while maintaining project schedules and budgets Support permitting and regulatory coordination efforts with agencies including FEMA, USACE, MDEQ, local municipalities, and state transportation agencies Participate in field investigations, site visits, data collection, and construction support activities as needed Utilize industry-standard software including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, GIS platforms, and AutoCAD Civil 3D to support engineering analyses and design efforts Contribute to proposal development, client meetings, and multidisciplinary project coordination efforts Maintain a strong commitment to quality, safety, teamwork, and client service throughout all phases of project delivery
