Gonzalez Companies is a partner managed firm that provides comprehensive Planning, Design, and Construction Management Services to large and small Water, Sewer and Utility Districts; Departments of Transportation; and municipalities. We are currently seeking a Transportation Engineer (III/IV) to help serve our connection of clients and community. The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location. Lead or contribute significantly to the design and delivery of transportation projects, including roadway geometrics, intersections, pedestrian facilities, drainage, and traffic control. Develop and review engineering plans, models, and calculations using MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D. Prepare design reports, cost estimates, technical memos, specifications, and milestone submittals for DOT, LPA, or municipal agencies. Oversee and guide junior engineers, providing mentorship, task coordination, and quality review of design documents. Coordinate with project managers, clients, subconsultants, utilities, and permitting agencies to ensure project requirements and schedules are met. Perform advanced engineering analyses, troubleshoot design challenges, and propose effective technical solutions. Support or lead project planning, scope development, and discipline-level budgeting as experience allows. Participate in QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with relevant DOT, municipal, and industry standards. Conduct occasional field investigations, site reviews, or construction support activities.
