The Truck Driver – Commercial Driving position is responsible for the delivery of product to our customers and other Trinidad Benham facilities utilizing combination Dry Van or Hopper trailers. Delivery of product in truck - CDL Class A with manual transmission required. Operation of truck to deliver and pick up loads as requested by shipping and receiving department in a safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner. Daily truck and trailer inspections prior to use. Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately. Complete all necessary paperwork and electronic logs in order to maintain accurate records for all trips required under state and federal laws and regulations. Maintain expense log with all receipts. Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance, including keeping the tractor clean. Communicate with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs. Comply with company safety policies and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms. Provide support to plant operations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by Shipping Supervisor or Lead.
