Position: RWDI's Guelph Office is seeking a Senior Field Technician – Source Emissions to direct and execute complex source testing projects across various industrial sectors. This role combines hands-on fieldwork with leadership and client-facing responsibilities. You will oversee field testing programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior technicians, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and data integrity. This posting represents a currently available role. This role includes but is not limited to: Lead and perform on-site stack testing and source emissions monitoring in accordance with federal and regional regulatory methods (e.g., EPA Reference Methods, ECCC). Plan and manage field deployments, including crew logistics, equipment preparation, and safety procedures. Analyze collected data and ensure QA/QC protocols are strictly followed throughout testing and reporting processes. Serve as a technical liaison with clients, regulators, and internal teams to communicate project scope, progress, and findings. Train, mentor, and supervise junior field technicians and new team members. Troubleshoot and maintain analytical and sampling skills equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Support project scoping, scheduling, and budgeting in collaboration with project managers and senior leadership. Keep current with evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices, proactively adapting procedures and technologies. Prepare high-quality technical reports, including regulatory documentation, emissions data summaries, and field observations.
