About this role
The Field Technician Level 1 supports experienced field crews in the safe setup, maintenance, and operation of tapping and line-stopping equipment while learning Rangeline’s systems and standards. This role is ideal for individuals who bring a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn in a physically demanding environment. Experience in underground utilities or construction is strongly preferred. • Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of water main systems • Support setup and teardown of tapping, line-stop, and valve insertion equipment • Clean and maintain tools, trucks, and work areas • Load and unload materials and equipment • Follow instructions from senior technicians and job leads on site • Participate in pre-job safety meetings and follow safety protocols • Complete basic documentation such as safety checklists or field reports as directed • Observe and learn proper procedures for tapping, stopping, and field repairs
