About this role

Job Purpose UHE UK offers undergraduate programmes in collaboration with University of Roehampton and includes modules that develop their academic skills and communications, as well as academic subject knowledge. The courses are delivered using a blended approach, which caters for non-traditional students who need a flexible approach to studying. Lecturers teach on modules within full extended programmes, from foundation year to Level 6, helping students to build their academic and employability skills, advance in their careers and prepare them for future postgraduate study. The lessons adopt an interactive, student-centred approach. Lessons are a combination of face-to-face delivery and online delivery and have elements of both asynchronous and synchronous learning that makes full use of the latest technology in order to provide students with a varied, lively and purposeful experience. Coordinate module delivery across multiple classes and tutors to ensure consistency of teaching and assessment. Develop, review and update teaching materials and learning resources. Design and implement blended learning and digital learning strategies. Provide academic guidance and support to tutors delivering the module. Ensure alignment between teaching, learning outcomes and assessment requirements. Organise and lead internal moderation and standardisation meetings. Oversee module evaluation and contribute to curriculum development and enhancement. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and awarding body requirements. Facilitate the delivery and assessment of a credit-bearing Business related module. Teach seminars and workshops (some online) focused on developing critical thinking and reflection on the topics of the module. Deliver one-to-one and small-group tutorials to support students’ academic and language development. Monitor and report on student progress and contribute to moderation and quality assurance processes. Support the development and use of digital learning resources and technologies to enhance academic literacies. Participate in module review and enhancement and contribute to the evaluation of academic support provision. Maintain accurate records and ensure all support is compliant with institutional policies and GDPR. Engage in continuing professional development relevant to the programme, and inclusive teaching. Remain sensitive to the expectations of different nationalities whilst encouraging an open and questioning approach to learning that leads students to become independent learners. Develop and maintain an encouraging classroom environment in which accepted rules of behaviour are consistently applied. Assess students throughout their modules, regularly creating, providing and marking both formative and summative assessments. Attend and contribute to college meetings and training sessions as required
