Ranch Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician (Vet Tech) to join our fast-paced small animal general practice in Bradenton, FL. We are looking for a skilled, hands-on veterinary professional who is confident in patient care, anesthesia support, exam room workflow, and client communication . This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys a balanced mix of clinical medicine, surgery support, and outpatient appointments in a collaborative hospital environment. As a Veterinary Technician , you will support veterinarians and ensure high-quality patient care across all phases of treatment: Exam Room & Patient Care Obtain patient history, vitals, and medical records Assist in exam room appointments and client communication Provide patient restraint and handling for small animals Educate clients on treatment plans and discharge instructions Clinical & Technical Skills Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection Run and process in-house laboratory diagnostics Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments Maintain accurate medical documentation and records Surgical & Anesthesia Support Assist with surgical and dental procedures Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery Prepare surgical instruments and maintain sterile technique Hospital Support Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes Assist with radiographs and diagnostic imaging Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
