About the Role: The Core Systems Engineer – Automation & Platform Engineering is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated infrastructure solutions in a highly available, production environment. This role focuses on improving operational efficiency, reliability, and monitoring through scripting, automation, and modern infrastructure practices. This is a remote position supporting a global environment. Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for infrastructure and operations Create and modify scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Ansible Apply Infrastructure as Code principles to system configuration and deployment Maintain and enhance monitoring and alerting platforms (Grafana, Zabbix) Integrate systems using APIs (REST, JSON, YAML) Support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V Troubleshoot complex system and performance issues in production environments Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and improvements Maintain source control using Git and contribute to CI/CD pipelines where applicable Document systems, processes, and automation workflows
