About this role
As the Senior Facilities Infrastructure Engineer (Mojave) at Impulse Space, you will lead the build-out and activation of a new site in the Mojave Desert. This role is hands-on and execution-focused: you’ll take a facility from bare ground → operational aerospace site, working across construction, infrastructure, and utilities. Manage major capital projects and infrastructure improvements at the Mojave Test Facility, including MEP systems, utilities, structural upgrades, and facilities for specialized aerospace test infrastructure Coordinate with architects, MEP, civil and structural engineers, and contractors to translate design into reality Manage construction schedules, sequencing, and on-site activity, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget Oversee contractors and infrastructure work on-site Serve as the primary liaison for the local AHJ authorities, landlord, and construction agencies, ensuring alignment with zoning, permitting, and environmental standards Interact with leaders and executives to deliver project updates and statuses Own construction budgets and bidding for large CAPEX projects Ensure quality, safety, and compliance across projects and on all phases of construction
