Role: SEMH English Lead Teacher Salary: up to £41,137 (depending on experience and qualifications) plus £3,000 subject lead allowance Location: Congleton, Cheshire Contract: permanent Hours: full time (core hours 8:30am to 4:40pm, Monday to Friday) Esland is committed to changing children’s lives for the better, offering nurturing and inclusive environments where every child can thrive. This is an exciting and fantastic opportunity to be part of the senior team of our highly sought after, specialist provision supporting vulnerable young people aged 7 to 18 years who have SEND and SEMH needs. As a SEN Teacher and subject lead, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs. You will: Plan and deliver lessons across the school's English department Be responsible for upskilling and training staff Ensure baseline is completed Provide phonics and literacy intervention Have over sight of reading strategies Support pupils’ academic and personal development through Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) Contribute to EHCP reviews and PEP meetings Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times Whilst this job description gives a reasonable overview of the post, it is not exhaustive, and the post holder will be expected to behave in a flexible manner and take on any other duties that may be reasonably delegated from time to time.
