About this role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead a team in developing solutions for our federal clients at Coforma. Coforma is seeking a Senior Product Manager who is comfortable working across policy, technology, and human-centered design. Product Managers at Coforma are the primary point of contact for business stakeholders and are responsible for driving a shared vision both within the team and across partners. They collaborate with partners in research, design, engineering, project management, and account management to deliver value to both the user and the business. In this role, you’ll own the product lifecycle from discovery to deployment. You’ll be a key voice on the project team, turning high-level objectives into a roadmap that balances compliance with a seamless user experience. This is a remote-first position. The ideal candidate has at least five (5) years of experience in digital product management in a cross-functional, agile environment. This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent communication, leadership, and technical product skills, as you will be translating the needs of users and the business into digital product features. To be successful in this role, you must have a consulting mindset, a strong understanding of user-centered prioritization, and the ability to build trust with a wide variety of stakeholders across the organization. If you’re passionate about improving lives through digital products and services, Coforma is a great company for you. $150,235 to $169,146 Annual Salary + Benefits + Growth Potential Placement within this range will be based on the competency level of the candidate. An offer will be made at one of the following tiers: Tier 1 — $150,235: Meets stated qualification and experience requirements. May need guidance and training beyond onboarding to perform the more complex functions of the role. Tier 2 — $159,691: Experienced and fully competent. Will be able to independently perform key responsibilities of the role once onboarding is completed. Tier 3 — $169,146: Highly experienced and can perform all responsibilities of the role at a higher level than expected once onboarding is completed. To honor our company-wide equitable pay system, the posted salary range and corresponding tier salaries are non-negotiable. This is a US-based remote position open to applicants in the states listed below. Some travel will be required. To ensure we remain compliant with all state, county, and local employment and tax regulations, applicants must currently reside in one of the following states to be considered for employment with Coforma. This list will be updated periodically as our PeopleOps team works to open up hiring in additional states. Arizona California District of Columbia Florida Georgia Idaho Illinois Maryland Massachusetts Montana Nevada New Jersey New York North Carolina Oregon South Carolina Tennessee Texas Virginia Washington Wisconsin Lead the product vision and long-term roadmap for a large-scale federal system modernization, transitioning legacy platforms to secure, user-centered digital solutions. Build consensus across multiple federal agency departments and subcontracting partners, balancing competing priorities and ensuring shared ownership of product decisions. Present progress, metrics, and roadmaps to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making. Prioritize features based on a mix of regulatory requirements, user research, and technical feasibility within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Oversee a cross-functional Scrum team (human-centered design, engineering, quality assurance), leading planning and synchronization ceremonies to ensure efficient and successful delivery. Manage the backlog by writing user stories, clarifying complex business rules, and defining acceptance criteria, testing functionality, and shaping product decisions alongside the team. Partner with Engineering team members to embed security, accessibility (Section 508), and automation into the product. Support Coforma’s expansion with hiring new talent, peer coaching, and leading practice-wide improvements within the Product Management department. Advance Coforma’s Product practice through active collaboration with the Growth team, contributing to proposals and uncovering and pursuing new business opportunities. In Your First 30 Days, You Will: Complete new hire orientation training and meet with external counterparts and stakeholders across the organization. Engage in discovery with federal partners, subcontracting leads, and internal cross-functional peers to understand their pain points and expectations. Dive into the legacy system and current modernization roadmap and gain an understanding of the “why” behind previous architectural and policy decisions. Review the current sprint and upcoming Program Increment (PI) goals and start small by refining 2 to 3 high-priority user stories to understand the team’s definition of “Ready.” Shadow a full sprint cycle to observe the team’s “norming and forming” dynamics and internalize Coforma’s delivery standards. After 60 Days: Become a quasi-expert on your product; norm and form with your project team, build relationships with stakeholders, and start making technical product decisions. Translate complex business requirements to build a backlog and a clear technical roadmap that the Engineering team can execute. Facilitate backlog refinement and contribute to PI planning (at this point, you will be the “voice of the product” in ceremonies). After 90 Days: Move beyond the current backlog to refine the long-term product vision, ensuring the product effort continues to stay ahead. Take on new challenges as a senior member of the Product Management team. This might include contributing to business development efforts, peer mentoring/coaching, or leading initiatives to support our growing Product department. Assume full responsibility and accountability for all functions and expected outcomes associated with this role.
