BMT Canada is recruiting for a Senior Engineer, who has knowledge and experience covering the full submarine lifecycle, to join our experienced team. Given the global nature of the role, we have now opened up the applications to candidates based in Australia who are willing to relocate. In this role you will support the International Submarine Program Manager to manage activities, delivery projects and provide technical knowledge within the scope of their program. This role can be based anywhere in Canada and includes recurring long-term deployments (at least 6 months at a time) at one of our overseas client sites in the Asia Pacific Region, providing technical leadership and oversight to a team of experienced engineers and technologists. In this role you will: Plan and manage work schedules, identify technical and program risks, and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex submarine projects. Prepare and deliver clear briefings and presentations, building strong client relationships and proactively understanding and meeting their needs. Provide engineering design, construction advice and consultancy, ensuring all work aligns with project scope, quality procedures, and relevant industry standards. Undertake and support technical assurance activities, reviewing deliverables and guiding others to ensure consistent quality and compliance. Contribute to program objectives and a high-performing team culture by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and fostering an environment where ideas and concerns are openly communicated.
