About this role
The Material Handler performs production replenishments of parts and supplies accurately and on time. Responsible for picking orders for production and delivering those orders to the appropriate department in a timely manner Operates a handheld scanner to scan barcodes and accurately delivers materials to the production floor Reviews pick list and picks appropriate material for specific work centers Operates forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker and other loading/stacking equipment Responsible for daily inspection of forklifts and performs on-spot checking Performs daily cycle count checks and accurately report results Responsible for putting away incoming material to appropriate stocking locations Maintains and organizes warehouse storage including pallet consolidation and cleanliness of aisles Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor. Performs other duties as directed
