About this role
We're seeking a skilled Welder to join our metal fabrication team. This is a critical role in our production operation, where you'll work on pressing and assembling metal parts that serve various industrial applications. This is a 1st shift role with a schedule of Monday - Friday from 7am-3:30pm. Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick, or combination) to join metal components according to specifications and blueprints Inspect welds for quality, alignment, and adherence to engineering standards before parts move to next production stage Prepare metal surfaces through grinding, cleaning, and degreasing to ensure proper weld integrity Maintain welding equipment and notify maintenance of any malfunctions or needed repairs Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications accurately Work with pressing operations to coordinate seamless part assembly and material flow Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work station; follow all safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures Meet production quotas and quality standards while working independently during 3rd shift Communicate clearly with shift supervisors and team members regarding production status and issues Support continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and quality concerns
