About this role
As a Master Machinist at ASC - Columbia Plant, you will have the opportunity to work with your hands. You may be responsible for reading blueprints, fabrication/welding, tooling repair, designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts. Tool and die blueprint reading Mechanical knowledge Fabrication/welding Familiar with Injection Molding Manufacturing repair Tooling repair Precision measuring instrument Repairing molds Operating grinding and milling machines Tear down, clean, assemble after fix, clean, polish Grind, mill & lathe Visualizing and computing metal shapes and tolerances Designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts Measuring and marking metal stock for machining Setting up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines Filing, grinding, shimming metals to ensure a smooth finish Fitting and assembling tools and mold parts Inspecting finished dies and molds for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities All other duties/tasks as assigned Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.
