About this role

Hi there, we’re Article. 👋 We’re a North American-based furniture company creating remarkably better furniture experiences one sofa at a time. And as our Junior Raw Material Developer , you’ll work closely with our Raw Material Development team to make sure our materials and finishes are perfect from day one. Why We Need You Our Raw Material Development Team needs you to be the bridge between our designs and our factories. You will keep track of material samples, manage our swatch libraries, and organize all technical documents (like paint formulas and stain systems). By tracking every detail and working closely with our suppliers, you help ensure that the final product looks exactly like the approved sample. In your first few months, you will learn our internal systems, master our quality steps, and start communicating with our vendors. In a year, you’ll be proud to say you helped streamline our material development process while maintaining high quality standards. Why Article? What started in 2019 to build better bonds with our Asian partners is now a full office in Ho Chi Minh City. Article has about 70 employees in Vietnam. They work in teams like Sourcing, Quality, HR, and Logistics. As a Particle (people of Article), you will have the freedom to solve problems the best way you can. We trust you to find solutions that work best. You will grow your skills while we change the furniture industry. At Article, we grow and have fun together. We have training and team activities in the office. This helps us stay connected and work well together all year. Manage Material Libraries & Swatches: Coordinate, track, and organize physical samples and digital swatch databases from vendors. You will help check for shade and color variations. Keep Documentation Accurate: Maintain and update technical specifications, finishing details (paint formulas, stain systems, sheen levels), and internal systems ( PINFO, PSS, MSS ). Vendor Coordination: Communicate directly with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to collect samples, track development timelines, and follow up on missing data. Project Tracking: Monitor raw material progress from the first sample stage all the way to production readiness ( NMI / NPI / CGI milestones). Quality Consistency: Spot documentation gaps or differences between development samples and production finishes, and escalate issues when needed.
