By tackling inefficiencies in the food system, our passionate and motivated team of problem solvers helps save an average of 500,000 pounds of food per week from waste or lesser outcomes, with an all-time savings of 190+ million pounds of food Follows and enforces both company and regulatory guidelines at all times. This includes, but is not limited to the safe handling and storage of food and the safe operation of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT). As a leader, oversees the daily tasks of all team members and takes ownership of the safe completion of each function within the Receiving department. Provides coaching to team members to achieve optimal workflow. Liaises between all warehouse departments to coordinate the efficient flow of products from the receiving area to the designated storage locations. Communicates effectively with team members and leadership to ensure a smooth transition of goods. Safely and efficiently operates various types of PIT equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to unload palletized goods from incoming trailers. Promptly escalates any safety concerns to the supervisor. Conducts thorough inspections of received products to verify quantity, quality, and integrity. Report any discrepancies or damages promptly to the supervisor and follow established procedures for documentation. Accurately records and documents all received shipments, including product details, quantities, and any discrepancies. Maintain organized and up-to-date records for easy reference. Maintains current awareness of safety regulations through regular training. May also serve as a point of contact for training other members of the team when operational or regulatory updates are implemented.
