Requirements: We are looking for relevant experience and technical know-how.We would ideally like a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.ITIL qualifications and familiarity with Wintel, BMC, Unix, and RHEL are desirable.Strong background in relevant technologies such as Wintel, Unix, BMC products, and SCADA Telemetry.Experience supporting mission-critical systems with knowledge of system technologies, networking, monitoring tools, and processes.Solid operational background with analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Understanding of service management practices, including change and release management, and risk/issue management, preferably with ITIL processes and tools.Awareness of mechanical and electrical infrastructure within data centres or building management systems is a plus. Responsibilities: We provide round-the-clock system health and proactive monitoring of Critical National Infrastructure services, including applications, middleware, databases, operating systems, and server infrastructure.We deliver 1st line support to ensure CNI systems and services meet their SLAs.We collaborate effectively with second- and third-line support teams, system managers, and other key stakeholders.We ensure compliance with security and CNI regulations, policies, and standards.We underpin critical business processes essential for the efficient operation of our energy networks.We work on a 24/7/365 shift rota focused on monitoring and maintaining system health.We train initially in Warwick before moving to our Wokingham office.We engage with internal teams, control room staff, business partners, market participants, and third-party support partners.
