Salary: £65,000 - 72,000 per year
Requirements: We are looking for an experienced Platform or Infrastructure Engineer with strong Kubernetes expertise.We ideally want experience with production Kubernetes administration.We ideally want experience with Linux systems administration.We ideally want experience with infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.We ideally want experience with cloud platforms, with AWS preferred.We ideally want experience with container networking and storage technologies.We ideally want experience with monitoring and observability platforms.We ideally want experience with load balancing and web technologies.We ideally want experience with Git and scripting, such as Bash and/or Python.We ideally want experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.We ideally want experience with infrastructure migrations and platform modernisation projects.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, enterprise networking, database technologies, or systems architecture would be advantageous. Responsibilities: We design, implement, and support production infrastructure platforms.We build, manage, and optimise Kubernetes environments.We support the migration and modernisation of existing infrastructure and applications.We develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code.We improve platform resilience, monitoring, and disaster recovery capabilities.We work closely with software engineering teams to enhance deployment and operational processes.We troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.We produce and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.We promote security, reliability, and best practice across the platform estate. We are partnering with an established technology-led organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract for a Platform & Infrastructure Engineer role in Sheffield, with a hybrid working pattern requiring 1 to 2 days per week on site.
