Requirements: Current SC ClearanceProven experience delivering Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) within enterprise environmentsStrong experience testing availability, resilience and disaster recovery capabilitiesExperience validating operational processes, procedures and service management practicesKnowledge of backup and restore, deployment, patching, infrastructure connectivity and server testingExperience testing cloud-hosted applications, ideally within AWS environmentsStrong understanding of operational readiness, service transition and production supportabilityExperience with monitoring, observability and log analysis tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic or ELKBackground working within IT Operations, Service Management or mission-critical production environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate operational risksExposure to Chaos Engineering and/or DevOps practices would be highly advantageous Responsibilities: Design and execute Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) activities across applications and servicesValidate operational readiness prior to production releases and deploymentsAssess availability, resilience, disaster recovery and service recoverability capabilitiesTest operational processes and procedures, including incident, problem and change management readinessVerify backup, restore, deployment, patching and infrastructure connectivity processesEvaluate application and infrastructure monitoring, alerting and observability solutionsAnalyse system logs, monitoring outputs and performance data to identify operational risksSupport release activities and ensure operational acceptance criteria are metWork with development, infrastructure and operations teams to resolve supportability and service risksContribute to the testing of AWS-hosted applications and cloud-based services Technologies: AWSCloudDevOpsDynatraceELKSupportSplunk More:
We are looking for an SC Cleared OAT Quality Engineer for one of our local clients. This is a remote, 6 month+ contract paying £398 per day inside IR35. The role focuses on validating operational readiness, resilience, disaster recovery and service supportability across cloud-hosted solutions, working closely with development, infrastructure and service management teams.
