Requirements: We need proven experience as an Interaction Designer in Agile environments.We need a strong background in designing user-centred digital services.We need proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.We need experience producing user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design specifications.We need a solid understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG.We need strong communication and stakeholder management skills.We need confidence working within multidisciplinary delivery teams.We prefer experience within Central Government, GDS, or the wider Public Sector.We prefer exposure to cyber, security, or policy-led digital programmes.We prefer familiarity with the GDS Design System and Government Service Standard.We prefer experience working on high-profile or sensitive programmes. Responsibilities: We design user-centred interactions for digital services from discovery through to live.We produce deliverables including wireframes, user flows, and prototypes.We collaborate closely with User Researchers to translate insights into effective design solutions.We work alongside Service Designers, Product Managers, Developers, and Business Analysts.We ensure designs meet GDS Service Standards and accessibility requirements, including WCAG.We iterate designs based on research findings, usability testing, and stakeholder feedback.We participate in workshops and contribute to multidisciplinary team activities.We apply design patterns and best practices to ensure consistency across services. We are seeking an experienced Interaction Designer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering digital services within a government cyber policy portfolio. This is a remote role for a government client in the public sector, offered at a rate of £530 per day inside IR35 for a 4-month duration. An active SC clearance is required. We will work alongside User Researchers, Service Designers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineers to deliver intuitive, accessible, and user-centred digital services that support critical public sector functions. This role is well suited to candidates with strong GDS experience who can confidently translate user needs into high-quality interaction designs within agile delivery environments.
