Salary: £39,862 - 42,839 per year
Requirements: Strong expertise in Geographical Information Systems (GIS)Essential experience with Esri ArcGISKnowledge of additional geospatial or data tools would be an advantageStrong experience in planning and delivering ArcGIS Enterprise upgrades, including managing dependencies, minimising downtime, and ensuring component compatibilityExperience using monitoring tools such as ArcGIS Monitor or a similar tool to identify performance or reliability issues earlyStrong communication skillsAbility to manage competing prioritiesExperience working with systems and people in a largely remote environmentExperience with Python and the ArcPy module for automation processes Responsibilities: Lead the support, maintenance, and development of our corporate GIS platform (ArcGIS)Manage geospatial data across the Council, ensuring it is accurate, up to date, and well governedDeliver mapping products and spatial analysis to support services and decision-makingProvide high-quality support and guidance to GIS users across the organisationDefine and promote GIS standards, best practices, and ways of workingDeliver training and build GIS capability within teamsFacilitate collaboration through GIS user groups and forumsIdentify and deliver innovative GIS solutions to meet business needsDevelop and maintain automation processes using PythonCreate and maintain documentation essential to the success of GIS Technologies: Business IntelligenceGISSupportPython More:
