About this role

Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements: Strong experience working with ISP networking technologies, including BGP, MPLS, LDP, VRFs, L2VPNs, L3VPNs, PPPoE, OSPF and IPv6Extensive hands-on experience configuring and supporting Juniper MX and QFX platforms in a live production environmentProven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across a core network, with a structured and methodical approach to fault findingExperience delivering network change, upgrades and project work safely within a controlled production environmentGood understanding of network performance, resilience and operational best practice within an ISP or service provider settingExperience supporting core network services and related virtualised or Linux-based infrastructure would be beneficialComfortable producing clear technical documentation and detailed change requestsAble to work independently, take ownership of technical problems, and contribute to wider engineering improvementsExperience with RADIUS and TACACS would be beneficialAble to support junior engineers and explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholdersExposure to automation and open-source tooling would be an advantage Responsibilities: Ensure the stability, performance, and ongoing improvement of our ISP core network and supporting platformsProvide operational support across live network infrastructureDeliver technical projects and network changes safelyResolve complex network issues when they ariseContribute to service improvements and automation initiativesSupport the development of junior engineersWork within the technical direction set by our Head of Technology & Engineering Technologies: SupportLinuxMPLSNetwork More:
