Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year
Requirements: We require a degree in a STEM subject, ideally Mathematics, Physics, or Electronics.We require experience using programming software such as MATLAB, Simulink, or Python.We require experience in at least one stage of model development, such as design, build, integration, test, or deployment.We require an understanding of modelling techniques such as stochastic, deterministic, or exploratory models.We require an understanding of Physics and Mathematical principles at degree level.We require experience with either Electro-Optics, Infra-Red, or Radio Frequency sensors within a defence setting.You must be a UK National and eligible to work in the UK.You must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Government Security Check clearance. Responsibilities: We will have you support our Countermeasure Development team within our Electronic Warfare Support Group by providing technical advice and support to customers on countermeasure development, engineering support, and delivery.We will have you support internal initiatives relating to innovation and research, projects, training, and bid delivery.We will give you the opportunity to develop our in-house countermeasure simulation software tool, CounterWorX, modelling physical interactions and phenomena across dynamic simulations.We will have you work with our software development team and engage with the assurance process that releasable software products must follow.As a modeller, you will develop models, add new features into the countermeasure software, and solve customer challenges and requirements.You will analyse, design, model, and verify countermeasure techniques across a variety of real-world scenarios.You will help deliver solutions to customers for operational use.You will optimise countermeasure parameters for best performance against specific threats.You may mentor junior team members and contribute across our broader EWOS group.
