As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team based in our Balzan office.

The Role
As an Accountant, you will play an important role in supporting the Finance team with the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. You will work closely with colleagues across the department, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately, statutory obligations are met, and reporting deadlines are achieved. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and enjoy working collaboratively within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory returns, including quarterly VAT returns.
• Review and process purchase invoices for approval, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
• Handle and respond to sales-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Ticket reconciliations to Payment Service Providers with our back office.
• Reconcile cryptocurrency transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Commissions Review: Support the finance team in the quarterly review and calculation of sales commissions.
• Management Accounts: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the wider finance team, including supporting bookkeeping clerks with daily accounting tasks as needed.
• Any other task assigned by the line manager.
Requirements
• A degree or professional qualification in Accounting or currently in the final stages of obtaining one.
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role would be considered an asset.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with VAT regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and XERO accounting software.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Good level of written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience working with cryptocurrency transactions or Payment Service Providers (PSPs) would be considered an advantage.
