About this role
Our client, Invisible Trenching Bermuda Ltd. a Bermudian company providing construction, trenching and excavation services in is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the role of Body Work Mechanic on a full-time basis. Responsibilities will include but not limited to conducting regular maintenance inspections, service and repairs of various types of heavy equipment, including, but not limited to, trucks and machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive body repair and refinishing, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to various trucks and equipment
• Perform welding, sanding, and painting to restore vehicles to good condition.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify all damage and necessary repairs.
• Communicate effectively about repair options and timelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
• Mechanic certification in vehicle body repair or a equipment mechanic certification with a minimum 6 years’ experience in body repair.
• Minimum 6 years experience in truck and machinery repairs.
• Proficiency in using auto body repair tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of equipment hydraulic and drive
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment together with the ability to stand for long periods of time.
