Field Clinical Specialist
The Field Clinical Specialist is responsible for providing clinical/technical product support on our products and give training to our and distributor employees. They work closely with the commercial team to support on wet- & dry labs, presentation, congress participation and supporting on Proctor- & Preceptorships.
They addresses customer needs and expectations and develop close relationships with the Cardiac surgeons in their area of responsibility.
The Field Clinical Specialist becomes a widely-known and trusted brand ambassador for the company and its products.They fully comply with the Code of Ethics and conduct business in a fair and ethical manner. Individuals in this role interpret and enforce company policy, procedures and business practices.
Essential Functions
Global areas of Focus
• Work in close collaboration with the Field Clinical Director on all activities in the country/region.
• Preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative product support
• Field-based product training activities
• Information dissemination regarding approved labelled indications for use
• In-depth and up-to-date personal knowledge base regarding all CORCYM products
• Field-based information for commercial functions to enhance strategy development
• Consult and coordinate with Field Clinical Director as needed for providing support for scientific and medical inquiries
• Coordinating with the commercial team to build the regional clinical strategy and coordinating the regional mapping in line with the yearly clinical plans
Specific Responsibilities
• Provide intraoperative case coverage for all CORCYM technologies
• Provide product training regarding approved labelled information including intended use, indications for use and target populations
• Build peer-to-peer relationships with leading experts in clinical practice or research relevant to the products in the company portfolio
• Develop a personal knowledge base to be able to respond with credibility and expertise to inquiries regarding all Corcym technologies
• Lead and participate in information dissemination and training activities for internal audiences, new hire training, refresher courses, external audiences at webinars, symposia and medical society meeting activities.
• Organize and support any Proctorship or Preceptorship in the country/region and report all information in the relevant platform
• Provide field-based information including current product use patterns to:
• Field Clinical Director to refine educational programs
• Commercial Team to refine commercial strategy
• Transmit inquiries to Field Clinical Director regarding:
• Off-label use
• Investigator initiated research proposals
• Medical Information Requests (MIR)
• Communication of complaints; working as a liaison between distributor/customer and commercial quality
• In due time become a Perceval Clinical Trainer (PCT) and support the Cardiac Surgeon in the Operating theatre
• Be able to read CT-scans and become a CT-scan independent reader.
• Work with our Corcym Customer Platform to share all information relevant to the account and customer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven experience in the medical device industry, preferably in cardiac surgery or heart valves.
• Good interpersonal and relationship skills, able to collaborate in team environment.
• Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task and work independently.
• High proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life-sciences and or advanced clinical degree is preferable.
• Minimum 1+ years field clinical experience, or related role within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in cardiac surgery or heart valve products is preferred.
