We're looking for a dynamic and motivated Audit Team Leader to lead the delivery of our call and clinical audit programme across the Integrated Contact Centre (ICC). o Professional registration (NMC/HCPC) is a must have and relevant qualifications or equivalent experience

Main duties of the job

About the Role

As Audit Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in driving excellence in clinical and operational performance. You will:

o Lead the planning, delivery, and oversight of audit activity across ICC

o Turn audit insights into actionable learning and measurable improvement

o Manage and develop a team of clinical and non-clinical auditors

o Provide expert analysis and reporting to senior leadership and governance forums

o Ensure compliance with NHS Pathways, national standards, and Trust requirements

o Represent SCAS at regional and national forums, sharing best practice

What You'll Be Responsible For

o Leading a high-performing audit team and creating a culture of continuous improvement

o Delivering robust audit programmes that meet quality assurance standards

o Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities through data-driven insights

o Supporting ICC leaders with performance management and improvement plans

o Driving learning, development, and capability growth across the team

o Ensuring compliance with governance frameworks

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, clinical governance, or audit. NMC or HCPC registration NHS Pathways qualified Masters level post graduate study in an appropriate discipline or equivalent relevant experience

Knowledge Essential

Significant experience in clinical audit within an NHS or healthcare setting Knowledge of NHS Pathways and ambulance service operations Understanding of mortality and morbidity review processes Experience managing staff and leading multidisciplinary projects Audit, evaluation and clinical governance knowledge Customer services skills Previous experience of telephone consultation
