Job summary Specialist Biomedical Scientist Microbiology (Band 6) Location: London, UK Salary: Band 6 (in line with current NHS Agenda for Change pay scales) We are interested in those seeking one of more of the below working patterns; Nights full time Evening and Nights shifts Full 247 rota Inc Nights Main duties of the job Successful applicants will have practical experience in: Processing high volumes of routine microbiology specimens. Culture, identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing. Reading and interpreting routine culture plates. Routine bacteriology and associated microbiological investigations. Working within ISO 15189/UKAS (or equivalent) accredited laboratory standards. Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and turnaround times in a busy diagnostic laboratory.
