Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team player to join our Neighbourhood Central team as a Commissioning Officer to cover maternity leave.

Supporting the Commissioning Manager and working as part of a multiprofessional team you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills as a strategic commissioner for primary and community services.

The role covers Sunderland, South Tyneside & Durham.

This post is to cover maternity leave for 9 months.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Word processing and Excel qualifications (intermediate level), or equivalent experience. Word processing and Excel qualifications (advanced level), or equivalent experience Further training / post-graduate or significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes

Experience Essential

Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services. Experience in communications and stakeholder management NHS contracting, commissioning and performance management experience. Experience of service change/redesign and success at delivering programmes of change Experience in contract management, including performance management and quality assurance Knowledge/ experience of standard NHS contracts, terms and conditions, schedules and contract levers Previous experience in similar role in public sector Knowledge of health and social care issues
