Job summary
The post holder will help lead on the development of all aspects of Freedom from Tortures wellbeing strategy. It will range from advising senior leaders on organisational decisions impacting wellbeing, designing and recommending service delivery initiatives, creating training products and systematically evaluating the efficacy of the wellbeing approach.
Freedom from Tortures external presence in the wellbeing sphere, amongst refugee sector organisations, is growing from strength to strength. The postholder will need to keep the momentum, sharing best practice across the sector.
Main duties of the job
Over the past two and a half years, Freedom from Torture has developed a systemic, trauma-informed approach to wellbeing, recognising it as a shared organisational and individual responsibility. The post holder will play a key role in leading and developing the organisation's wellbeing strategy by advising senior leaders, designing and implementing wellbeing initiatives, developing training programmes, and evaluating the effectiveness of services. The role also involves promoting best practice, strengthening the organisation's external profile within the refugee sector, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to embed a culture of wellbeing across the organisation.

Freedom from Torture is seeking an Organisational Wellbeing Lead to help shape and deliver its wellbeing strategy as part of the organisation's 20262030 strategic plan. The successful candidate will lead the development of a dynamic, trauma-informed wellbeing approach that supports and empowers staff across the organisation. Working collaboratively with colleagues and senior leaders, the post holder will embed a culture of wellbeing, develop innovative initiatives, provide expert advice, and ensure wellbeing remains a shared responsibility. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to an award-winning charity dedicated to supporting survivors of torture while promoting best practice across the sector.
