The role includes supervising maintenance activities, supporting emergency preparedness, maintaining accurate technical records, and ensuring compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable maritime regulations.</div> </div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Description</H2> </div><div><div> <ul> <li>Operate and supervise vessel machinery, engineering systems, and equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance.</li> <li>Coordinate and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities in compliance with company procedures, maritime regulations, and industry standards.</li> <li>Supervise Engine Department personnel, assigning tasks and promoting a strong safety culture and operational excellence.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with safety management systems, including Permit to Work (PTW) requirements and company policies.</li> <li>Support the planning and execution of major repairs, dry dockings, inspections, and planned maintenance programs.</li> <li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational, maintenance, and technical records.Respond effectively to emergency situations, supporting the safe and timely restoration of critical vessel systems.</li> <li>Monitor spare parts inventories and communicate equipment and material requirements to support operational readiness.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with Classification Society requirements, statutory regulations, and company procedures.</li> <li>Review safety notices, technical updates, and operational procedures to maintain awareness of current requirements and best practices.</li> </ul> </div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">You are meant for this job if:</H2> </div><div><div> <ul> <li>Bachelor&apos;s Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent maritime education obtained through <strong>ASOM, EFOMM, or ATOM</strong> training programs.</li> <li>Valid Officer of the Watch (Engineering) Certificate of Competency and all mandatory STCW certifications required for offshore operations.</li> <li>Previous experience as an <strong>Engineer Officer</strong> onboard <strong>DP2 or DP3 vessels</strong>, preferably <strong>PLSVs</strong> and <strong>MPSVs</strong>.</li> <li>Solid knowledge of marine machinery operation, maintenance systems, and offshore safety procedures.</li> <li>Experience working within Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS) and Permit to Work (PTW) frameworks.</li> <li>Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <div> <h3>Mandatory Certifications</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Certificate of Competency (CoC) – STCW Regulation III/1</strong></li> <li> <div><strong>Engine Department (APMA – Advanced Training for Engineer Officers</strong></div> </li> <li><strong>Seaman&apos;s Registration and Record Book (CIR) – Second Engineer Officer (2OM)</strong></li> <li>Valid STCW certificates and offshore mandatory training required for the position.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>This opportunity is also open to People with Disabilities (PwD) and INSS rehabilitated professionals, in accordance with applicable legislation.</p> </div> </div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Skills</H2> </div><div><div>GBPMS - SSE Eng.</div><div>Lean Methodology</div><div>Manutencoes (preventivas e corretivas)</div></div></div></div>
