As a Merchandiser, you’ll work closely with your Merchandising Manager and fellow merchandisers. You’ll be part of a team that values preparation, transparency and teamwork — and where everyone plays a role in bringing collections from idea to shipment. YOUR ROLE As Merchandiser, you support and execute the merchandising process from development through production and shipment. You work closely with suppliers to ensure products meet quality, timing and price expectations, while following agreed calendars and procedures. This is a hands-on role where structure, follow-up and communication make the difference. You stay close to the product, monitor progress daily and step in when things need attention. You support development activities, sample follow-ups and production execution — and you help ensure everything runs smoothly.Source the right supplier for the right product while proactively monitoring performance and driving sustainable business growth. Handle and monitor the entire process from development to shipment; Support the suppliers in product development and source new fabric, trim and shapes according to assigned brand trend’s material; Ensure the suppliers develop new versions of best-selling styles; Make sure to develop express styles in close cooperation with the buyer to close gaps; Ensure the suppliers are well prepared for seminars and individual meetings with buyers; Negotiate prices, capacity planning and production leadtime with the suppliers; Obtain relevant style and production information before each collection and express styles; Well maintaining sample/bulk order follow-up overview list; Close follow up on proto and sales samples to ensure shipment of each style on time; Ensure the orders are carried out based on the agreements between buyer and supplier; Approval of lab dips/swatches and care labels; Follow up on photo sample to the brand’s sample list; Follow up on PP and shipment sample for on time approval; Monitor critical path and update buyers; Random Spot check and share report with buying team and update BSQC team. Ensure the performance of our suppliers and frequently evaluate them; Make sure to train and guide the suppliers according to BESTSELLER requirements; Close cooperation with the supporting teams for quality inspection and chemical requirement; Come up with solutions in cooperation with supplier and buyers if challenges may occur; Ensure claim handling in a fast and professional way; Ensure a professional relationship to suppliers as well as buyers and designers; Business trips to the suppliers and to Denmark. <h4>Success criteria</h4> Understanding the vision and strategy of the brand and developing well prepared styles, new fabrics and trim according to the trend for competitive prices; Turnover growth index should be properly monitored. Growth index in the product group through well prepared offer styles for the main collections as well as closing gaps in the season on each product group; All processes are closely monitored and followed up to ensure smooth sample and production process; All bulk orders are delivered on time and as agreed between supplier and buyer; deliveries should be on time 95%. All production samples, especially KA sample and SMS on-time performance. Suppliers and buyers are supported in the wanted and needed way for each collection and for express needs; Supplier sustainability rating and high-performance rating follow up and ensure 75% volume with highly rated suppliers. Acting as a good team player and colleague according to BESTSELLER’s founding principles. YOUR PROFILE You are structured, detail-oriented and enjoy seeing things through. You take responsibility for your tasks, follow up consistently and communicate clearly with the people around you.
