Shape Industrial Innovation.</strong></p> <p>ANDRITZ is seeking a <strong>Mechanical Design Engineer – CAD/CAM (Cimatron)</strong> to join our team in <strong>Muncy, Pennsylvania</strong>. In this role, you will help design and optimize critical refiner plate products used throughout the pulp and paper industry, directly impacting customer performance, equipment reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CAD/CAM professional who enjoys transforming engineering concepts into manufacturable solutions while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and product management teams.</p> <p><strong>What You&apos;ll Do</strong></p> <p><strong>As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Design and modify refiner plate patterns using Cimatron CAD/CAM software</li> <li>Convert existing 2D designs into detailed 3D models and manufacturing-ready files</li> <li>Create engineering drawings, product specifications, and pattern database documentation</li> <li>Develop sales support materials, including inch-cut drawings and product photo sheets</li> <li>Collaborate with Manufacturing, CNC Programming, Product Management, Sales, and Customers to ensure successful product design execution</li> <li>Support pattern fabrication activities and maintain design priorities to meet production schedules</li> <li>Review and verify engineering drawings for accuracy, quality, and compliance standards</li> <li>Assist with troubleshooting, product improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives</li> <li>Maintain engineering documentation, records, and design databases</li> <li>Participate in customer visits, training programs, and technical discussions as needed</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We&apos;re Looking For</strong></p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Associate Degree or Technical/Trade School Degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering, or a related field</li> <li>Experience with CAD/CAM software in a manufacturing or industrial environment</li> <li>Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering drawings</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment</li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>5+ years of machine design, drafting, or CAD/CAM experience</li> <li>Experience with Cimatron software</li> <li>Knowledge of CNC programming and manufacturing processes</li> <li>Experience with pattern making, tooling design, or industrial equipment design</li> <li>AutoCAD experience</li> <li>Exposure to pulp and paper, heavy industrial, foundry, machining, or manufacturing environments</li> </ul> <p><strong>Ideal Candidate Background</strong></p> <p><strong>We welcome candidates from industries such as:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Industrial Manufacturing</li> <li>CNC Machining</li> <li>Tool &amp; Die</li> <li>Pattern Making</li> <li>Foundry Operations</li> <li>Paper &amp; Pulp Equipment</li> <li>Industrial Equipment Design</li> <li>Mechanical Product Development</li> <li>Manufacturing Engineering</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join ANDRITZ?</strong></p> <p>At ANDRITZ, you&apos;ll work on products that support some of the world&apos;s leading industrial operations.
