The Public Relations and Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and implementing integrated public relations, corporate communications, and social media strategies that strengthen Hatch's reputation and support business objectives globally. The role works closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, and regional communications teams to identify compelling stories, manage reputational opportunities and risks, and elevate Hatch's visibility across earned and owned channels. This is a strategic and hands-on role requiring a communications professional who can translate complex technical, business, and societal topics into engaging content that resonates with media, clients, partners, employees, and other key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing long-term communications strategies and executing day-to-day media relations and social media activities. We're looking for a candidate with a strong background in corporate communications, public relations, and digital storytelling, experience working within a complex global organization, and a proven ability to deliver impactful communications programs that support business growth and brand reputation. Responsibilities The Public Relations and Social Media Manager will: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Report to the Global Director, Public experts, and marketing teams to identify and promote stories that showcase Hatch's expertise, innovation, project successes, and purpose.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Manage external communications programs from planning through implementation, including timelines, approvals, stakeholder coordination, and performance measurement.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Build and maintain relationships with media, industry publications, influencers, and other external stakeholders to increase awareness of Hatch and its capabilities.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Develop and distribute media materials including news releases, media advisories, fact sheets, executive messaging, briefing materials, Q&A documents, and thought leadership content.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Lead proactive and reactive media relations activities, including media outreach, interview coordination, spokesperson preparation, and issues management initiatives.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Develop social media content calendars and oversee the creation of content optimized for various platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Monitor social media trends, emerging issues, and industry conversations while identifying opportunities to increase engagement and visibility.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Measure, analyze, and report on media relations and social media performance, providing recommendations based on insights, best practices, and industry benchmarks.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Collaborate with digital, design, and marketing teams to support integrated campaigns and ensure communications planning and execution, including media monitoring, issue assessment, stakeholder communications, and response development.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Develop and promote public relations best practices, governance processes, and social media guidelines across the organization.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Mentor and collaborate with communications specialists and marketing colleagues while helping to build communications capabilities across the business.</li> </ul> Requirements of the Role: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related discipline.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Minimum 8+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, corporate communications, social media, or a related field.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Experience developing and executing strategic communications programs within a complex global organization, preferably in professional services, engineering, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Strong understanding of media relations, reputation management, corporate communications, digital communications, and social media strategy.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and content development skills.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Proven experience developing a wide range of communications materials, including media materials, executive communications, social media content, thought leadership, and corporate messaging.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Experience managing communications projects involving multiple stakeholders, priorities, and approval processes.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Strong understanding of social media platforms, content strategy, community engagement, analytics, and emerging trends.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Demonstrated
