<strong>Product Development Specialist – Ingredients</strong>, you will be responsible for developing, improving, validating, and implementing ingredient solutions that support DAT-Schaub's product portfolio and customer needs across Europe.</p> <p>Working closely with Product Management, Sales, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and customers, you will transform ideas into commercially viable solutions while ensuring compliance, technical excellence, and operational feasibility.</p> <p>You will play a key role in supporting innovation projects, customer developments, industrial trials, and the continuous improvement of ingredient technologies and applications.</p> <hr> <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Develop new ingredient solutions in line with customer requirements and business needs.</li> <li>Improve and optimize existing formulations, products, and applications.</li> <li>Evaluate new raw materials, ingredients, and processing technologies.</li> <li>Support innovation projects that create customer value and strengthen competitiveness.</li> <li>Respond to customer development requests and technical challenges.</li> <li>Design, test, and validate ingredient solutions tailored to specific applications.</li> <li>Plan, execute, and document laboratory, pilot, and industrial trials.</li> <li>Support the successful industrialization and implementation of new solutions.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Sales, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.</li> <li>Maintain accurate technical documentation, development reports, and product specifications.</li> <li>Monitor market trends, customer needs, and technological developments to identify new opportunities.</li> <li>Contribute to the harmonisation of product development practices and methodologies across Europe.</li> </ul> <hr> <h2>Who Are You?</h2> <p>We are <li>Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Meat Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.</li> <li>Experience in Product Development, Food Applications, R&D, or Technical Support roles.</li> <li>Experience within food ingredients, meat processing, food manufacturing, or related industries is highly desirable.</li> <li>Understanding of food ingredients, additives, and food manufacturing technologies.</li> <li>Knowledge of food safety, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Experience working in cross-functional and international environments is an advantage.</li> <li>Fluent English is required.</li> <li>Additional European languages are considered an advantage.</li> </ul> <hr> <h2>Personal Competencies</h2> <ul> <li>Strong analytical and
