This position reports directly to the Dispatch Manager. </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> Key Responsibilities <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> The basic responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include, but not limited to the following. <ul> <li>Communicate with customers by phone and text messaging software, enter data into the computer system.</li> <li>Solicit future orders from customers and enter order into computer system. </li> <li>Negotiate with customers’ acceptable delivery times to prevent lost orders.</li> <li>Document customer complaints and forward to Dispatch Manager and/or Sales Representative.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> Qualifications Education/Experience <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">High School Degree or General Education Degree (GED). </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Three to five years related customer service experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li> </ul> Knowledge/Skill Requirements. <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Basic computer skills for entering orders. Outlook, Word, Excel, Keyboard 25 + wpm.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Extensive knowledge of Austin and surrounding areas,</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Ability to read and understand maps.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Communicate effectively with a wide variety of customers and be an effective problem solver.</li> </ul> Language Skills: Must read, write and speak English. Mathematical Skills: Basic math required – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
