About this role

About Redwood Materials

Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.

The Maintenance Technician is the primary executor of planned and reactive maintenance activities at Redwood Materials. Technicians are responsible for keeping equipment, machinery, and facility systems in safe, reliable operating condition. They work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and in close coordination with Production Operations, Reliability Engineering, and Controls teams.

Technicians are expected to work safely, complete tasks accurately and on time, maintain precise CMMS records, and escalate issues that exceed their scope of competency to the appropriate resource.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and support manufacturing and operational processes to meet production, quality, and business objectives

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment and systems in accordance with established procedures and safety standards

Analyze operational and production data (e.g., yield, throughput, downtime, cost) to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities

Prepare and maintain accurate operational, technical, and financial documentation, including reports, logs, and process records

Coordinate with cross-functional partners (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance) to support day-to-day operations

Support planning and execution activities related to production schedules, materials, and cost or resource utilization

Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory and safety requirements

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
