Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our healthcare team on a permanent contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients ensuring high standards of patient safety and well-being.
Main duties of the job
Conduct thorough patient consultations to assess health conditions and medical histories (face-to face, including home visits and telephone)Diagnose a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses using clinical expertise and diagnostic toolsPrescribe medications and administer treatments in accordance with current guidelinesDevelop personalised care plans, including referrals to specialists whenneccessaryParticipate in practice meetings, clinical audits, and specialists when necessaryContribute to prescribing safety, referral management, and QOF achievementEducate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention and management strategiesMaintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with organisational standards on SystmOne

Westcroft Health Centre hosts a wonderful team of 6 doctors and 3 Nurse Practitioners on a Part-Time or Full-Time basis.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Full GMC registration with a license to practice Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List ( or eligible)
Experience Essential
Proven experience as a General Practitioner or similar role within a clinical setting. Experience with patient care across diverse populations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
