Job summary
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous clinical coding experience.
As a Clinical Coder, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records. You will review incoming clinical correspondence, ensure relevant information is correctly coded within patient records, and support the wider practice team in delivering high-quality patient care.
Main duties of the job
Process and code incoming clinical correspondence, both electronic and paper based. Scan and attach documents to patient records using SystmOne. Organise and manage workflow documents efficiently. Input accurate clinical codes to maintain patient records. Update patient problem lists and Summary Care Records where appropriate. Forward correspondence to the appropriate clinician when required. Ensure all coding is completed accurately and within agreed timescales. Undertake additional administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice.
