Adult Social Care - Older People and Physical Disability (OPPD)

OPPD East Social Care Pathway requires a Business Support Officer - Band 4 (Agenda for Change)

Part time post 18.75 hours per week, Monday & Tuesday 8.30am - 5.00pm and Wednesday 13:15-17:00

Location: Lichfield, Tamworth, East Staffs or Moorlands - blended working - working from home and in the office.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a highly experienced and hard-working Administrator with leadership qualities to join the OPPD East Adult Social Care Pathway supporting our social care staff and managers to meet performance, service standards and a range of other key performance indicators. You will provide direct line management and supervision to a team of Customer Service Assistants and provide rostered shift coordination duties managing workflow in supporting the Customer Service Centre service delivery.

You will need to have experience of working with clinical systems and possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate initiative, creativity and flexibility to help prioritize and support the Social Work Practitioners and will be adept at reading/manipulating and analysing comprehensive performance related data. A strong sense of teamwork and commitment to maintaining high standards is essential to this position.

Social Work Learning Academy (SWLA)

On appointment, the post holder will be auto-enrolled in the SWLA and aligned to the appropriate British Association of Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework. The relevant SWLA stage (i.e. stage 1 (ASYE), 2 (Social Worker) or 3 (Advanced Social Worker) will also be agreed taking all prior Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and relevant experience into consideration. The post holder will be required to take responsibility for their own Continuous Professional Development.

Person Specification

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING Essential

NVQ Level 3 Business Administration (or equivalent level of experience) OCR/ RSA III or equivalent experience To undertake training, where necessary to ensure own personal development and to develop new skills necessary to successfully carry out duties of this post.

Desirable

BTEC Diploma in Business Administration (Level 1)

EXPERIENCE Essential

Significant experience in administration duties. Previous experience of setting up office/ administrative systems Experience of analytical processes Ability to plan, schedule and organise day to day work Handling sensitive data

Experience in the NHS Knowledge/ Experience of Trust Patient Clinical System Knowledge/ Experience of Local Authority client database
