Main duties of the job We seek an additional Kitchen / Catering Assistant passionate about making a real positive difference to the lives of older people. Working with the Cook and catering team, you'll ensure efficient kitchen operations, including creating menus, plating up, arranging trollies, and providing residents with top-quality support and care. Ensure mindfulness to individual religious and cultural backgrounds affecting meal choices and ensure residents receive personalized service. As the key link between the kitchen and serving areas, you'll ensure smooth and enjoyable mealtimes for all residents. Whilst you will be involved in all the practical duties you would expect in a busy care home kitchen it is vitally important to continuously ensure that you are mindful and conscious to individual religious and cultural backgrounds and how this might impact on meal choices, alongside making sure that all our residents feel they have a personalised service.

As the critical link between the kitchen and the serving areas you will be conjointly responsible for caring for our residents. The key focus for us is ensuring mealtimes run smoothly and are an enjoyable experience at Akari Care, where all our residents individual needs are catered for.

Experience of working within similar environment

Kitchen and food preparation experience required.

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

Qualifications Essential

Experience of working within similar environment, Kitchen and food preparation experience required, Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, A caring nature, Flexible and adaptable, Work well under pressure, Warm, approachable, and engaging, Respect for everyone, Resilient and adaptable.
